How Your Donations Change Lives

As we are a CIC (community interest company), we rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses and funding to continue to provide our outreach service. This money is used for several different aspects of Change Ur Life from events and training to resources our premises.

Our goal for the next few years is to raise enough funds to develop a helpline and online chat platform for victims who are unable to reach out through other methods of communication. Although this has always been vitally important to our organisation, the pandemic has most definitely accentuated the need, which means that it has now become essential. Your kind donations will contribute towards providing these additional services to victims, allowing them to request support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A Client Story

"I have known Juliet, who is the Operations Manager for Change Ur Life at times very dark for me, 19 months ago after I had left a relationship of physical, sexual, emotional and stalking abuse. I had to leave my flat of approximately 10 years. I had no idea what my future had in store, unaware but guided of my destination, I was greeted by Juliet on arrival. She welcomed me to the CIC and talked me through things. I then had Juliet as a key worker for the months after, and she was very supportive. She considered my needs and health issues. I learned so much from her, particularly in building up awareness in stalking behaviour. I did regular check-ins with her and 1 to 1 sessions while being vulnerable still. I have tackled a few issues that she saved me from, and she is always concerned about my welfare. I hadn’t had this level of care for as far back I cant remember. The time I had to talk about the 4 year relationship to the authorities, Juliet was extremely supportive and came with me for guidance throughout. After referring me to courses and aftercare helping me deal with the ordeals I had gone through, if I had one name for my keyworker it would be Wonderwoman. If I had one word for my keyworker, it would be empowerment. I feel I am ready to move on, and this would be down to Juliet’s input."
